Ira Albert was a missionary to Sierra Leone, West Africa and died while on a river expedition near Rodifunk. He was buried near the location where he drowned in Africa. A memorial tombstone was also erected for him in the Shirk's Meeting House Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
