Mr. Califf, known to his friends and family as "Super Dave", was born in Macon on October 19, 1960, and had lived here most of his life. He was the son of the late Harry Elmo Califf, Jr. and was a graduate of Northeast High School and earned a Degree in Education from the John H. Lounsbury School of Education at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Mr. Califf was a teacher with Macon Behavioral Medicine and was also a member of the Georgia Association of Educators. He was preceded in death by a brother: Steven Andrew Califf.
Mr. Califf is survived by his daughter: Sara Califf of Brunswick; mother: Gerry Anderson Califf of Macon; sister and brother-in-law: Catherine and Joseph Dean of Milledgeville; his nephews: Jonathan Gould and Blake Califf, both of Milledgeville; and by many, many dear friends.
