L. Frances (Johnson) Corliss, 77, of 570 Breezy Bluff, was stricken at home Tuesday and pronounced dead on arrival in Community Hospital. She was born in Nashville, and moved to Battle Creek in 1948. She was employed as a secretary in -the trust department of the old Security National Bank from 1954-74. She was a life member of Battle Creek Chapter 355 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Charles L. Corliss, died in 1976, and a stepson, Edward L. Corliss, died in 1982.
She is survived by a stepson, Donald C. Corliss of the Breezy Bluff address; brothers, Logan Johnson of Spring Lake, and James Johnson of Nashville; eight step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
She also raised a niece, Margaret Fox of 33 E. Hazelwood Court.
No services will be scheduled. Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Heart Association or the Calhoun County Unit of the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by the Shaw Funeral Home.
