Mr. Wm. Allen, who died at New Providence last Sunday, was an 1819 man, and one of the few that came to the county thus early. He was father-in-law of Ex-sheriff Bell and Wm. Ridings, two leading citizens of that place. Mr. Allen had lived a long, useful and prosperous life, and died surrounded by everything heart could wish, for himself or his posterity.
