Born to Charles Ahrens and Martha Frontzen Ahrens, she had been an Arizona resident for about 40 years, and had lived in Globe for 37 years. she and her late husband founded the Polar Ice Company of Globe, which sons Charles and Robert took over.
Survivors included her sons; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Smith of Globe; four sisters, Mrs. Emily Barker of El Paso, TX, Mrs. Gussie Blumenthal of San Antonio, TX, Mrs. Alma Barker and Mrs,. Lena Lukenbach, both of Fredericksburg, TX; and seven grandchildren.
