She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of Ralph T. and Nora (McConahay) Brantner. She married Harold E. Kessler on Aug. 4, 1967, and he died Nov. 9, 1972.
Surviving are two children: Carol Elder and Daniel Kauffman, both of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters: Joyce Longstreth and Charlotte Feather, both of Altoona; and six brothers: Ralph Brantner Jr. (Jane) of Fallentimber, William, Kedric (Barbara), Kenneth (Priscilla) and James (Margaret) Brantner, all of Altoona, and Gerald (Judy) Brantner of Duncansville.
Connie was a member of the Church of God of Williamsburg and attended Pleasant Valley Assembly of God.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
