Jonnie Louise Staggs, 86, of Stockdale, Texas, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2008.
She was born July 21, 1922, in Saspamco to James Horace and Nancy Louise Spivey Anderson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stockdale.
She is survived by her son, Larry B. Staggs and wife Billie of Stockdale; daughters Judy Person and husband Jimmy of Stockdale and Jerry Penshorn and husband Jimmie of Marion; her grandchildren, Scott Staggs, Leea Staggs White, Barrett Staggs, Jason Staggs, Brent Akin, and Brad Akin; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Anderson of Stockdale; and a niece, Jo Carolyn Hierholzer of Floresville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Harry Staggs; siblings Lois Donaho, J.H. Anderson Jr., Woodrow W. Anderson, and Beth Anderson; and a son-in-law, Bobby Bielke.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.
The funeral service was held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Stockdale with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating.
Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery.
