William Wesley Nunn, a resident of southern Oregon for the past 25 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Helms on the upper Applegate early this morning after an illness of two months. He was 89.
Mr. Nunn was born at Walsham le Willows, Suffolk, England, on September 17, 1847. He came to the United States in 1869 and located near Salina, Kansas. He came to Oregon in 1909, immediately taking up residence in the Rogue river valley.
Mr. Nunn was united in marriage to Alice M. Condon on January 1, 1880, at Bookville, Kansas, six children being born to this union, four of whom survive: Mrs. Pearl N. Gray of Medford; Ed Nunn of Echo; Lillian Mae Helms of Jacksonville and Earl Nunn of Ashland. Also surviving are five grand-daughters, and one great-grand-daughter. Mr. Nunn was a long-time member of the First Christion church of Salina, Kansas.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 3 o;clock, the Rev. W. R. Baird officiating. Internment will take place in the Medford I.O.O.F. cemetery.
