Mr. Moe was born Febrary 12, 1900, near Renner. He grew up in the Renner-Baltic area and then served in France during World War II, from 1918 to 1919. He returned to the Renner aarea and worked as a farm laborer.
He married Myrtle Nelson on March 9, 1929, in Baltic. He worked at Graff Motor Supply for 37 years. They lived in Sioux Falls until moving to an acreage south of Baltic in 1951. They later moved to Dell Rapids in 1981, and his wife died October 9, 1988. He had been a resident at the Odd Fellows Nursing Home for the past five years. He was a member of West Nidaros Lutheran Church; Baltic American legion; and the VFW of Dell Rapids.
Survivors include two daughters: Betty Nelson and Mrs Max (Diane) Crisp, both of Dell Rapids, SD.; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandsons.
Services begin at 10am Wednesday at West Nidaros Lutheran Church in rural Crooks, with burial in the church cemetery.
