As a youngster, Morris lived in western Ontario , attended high school in Fort Frances and then Kenora. Following graduation he moved to Winnipeg , Manitoba where he attended college for a year before joining the United States Air Force in 1961. He was stationed at Biloxi , Mississippi and Lackland Air Force Base in Texas . He married Judy Nelson on March 10, 1962 and they lived in New Orleans , Winnipeg Canada , San Francisco and New York State, then moved to Pine Bluff , Arkansas in 1973 and he attended the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff . They had one son, Paul Berton Beaucage, born in Winnipeg , Manitoba on March 10, 1965.



On August 6, 1974, at age 34, Morris was fatally injured in a motorcycle-truck collision at the intersection of Highway 65 Expressway and Cherry Street in Pine Bluff .
