Lila Mae Brotherton Jones, 87, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. She was born Feb. 11, 1924, in Tippah County to F.M. and Anna Childers Brotherton. She was retired from the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. She was a Baptist.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Bro. Wayne McKee officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Ripley.
Survivors include one son, Danny Jones of Brandon; one brother, Leonard Brotherton (Ruth) of Blue Mountain; two grandchildren, Margaret Hicks (Russell) of Tallulah, La., and Kathy Dill (Brandon) of Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emma and Ayden Hicks of Tallulah, La., Savannah Dill of Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Jones; her parents; and four brothers and three sisters.
