John McClain Briscoe was the son of Hezekiah Briscoe and his wife Mary Jane McMannis. He was the grandson of Hezekiah Briscoe Sr. and Rachael McClain, and Samuel Webb McMannis and Charlotte Shelburne. He married Pearl in 1905. There were no children born in this marriage. John was laid to rest in Grove Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
