Obituary - Allen H. Lewis Dies

Allen H. Lewis, 72, 1026 South Main, a salesman, died today. He was the first superintendent of the city work farm here. He was born in Paoli on February 26, 1872, and came to Wichita in 1910. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his widow, Jessie M.; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Easthan, Mrs. Ruby Selk, and Mrs. Verla Martin, all of California; five sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Stephenson, Nebraska, Mrs. Verla Lawton, Wyoming, Mrs. Eva Johnson, Nebraska, Mrs. Esta Maners, California, and Mrs. Minnie Cox, Oregon; a brother Fred H. Lewis, Nebraska; seven grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Downing mortuary Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Rev. George Creekmore will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.

LEWIS - Funeral services for Allen H. Lewis, age 72 years, of 1026 S. Main, who passed away Monday at his home, will be conducted at the Downing mortuary at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. George A. Creekmore, will officiate. Interment will be in the Maple Grove cemetery.
