Oscar R. Daratt, aged 72, died Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Gilchrist, 236 Mathewson avenue. Although he had been in poor health for several months he was not taken seriously ill until last Monday when he was seized by a paralytic attack.
Mr. Daratt came to Sedgwick County in the fall of 1873 and settled on a farm in Illinois township. He is survived by two sons, C. R. Daratt and R. E. Daratt and by three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Campbell, Mrs. Fannie Sullivan and Mrs. Frank Gilchrist. All were with him at the time of his death. Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Gilchrist, at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday
