Denzil Raymond Farrell, 86, of rural Monroe City, died at 4:20 p.m. May 28, 1999, at Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.

Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the IOOF Cemetery in Hunnewell. The Rev. Steve Goughnour officiated.

Mr. Farrell was born March 5, 1913, in Monroe County to Thomas Morgan and Ella Jenkins Robinson Farrell.

He married Lille Dee Ewing on Dec. 25, 1938, in Hunnewell. She survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Judy Carroll of rural Monroe City.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas Farrell and Ralph Farrell; and two sisters, Ruth Jones and Elsie Fitzpatrick.

Mr. Farrell was a retired Marion County grain farmer and stockman. He attended North Fork School in Monroe County.

Visitation was Monday evening at the Garner Funeral Home in Monroe City.
