Services for Mrs. Joy O. Malone, 69, of Start, LA will be 2 PM Wednesday Jan. 24, 2007 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel Rayville, LA with Rev. Paul Carter officiating with interment to follow in Start Cemetery.
Mrs. Joy was a member of Start Baptist Church and a member of the United Auto Workers Union. She was also retired from the GM Guide plant.
Mrs. Joy was preceded in death by her parents Auby and Joyce Smith, Grandsons Jesse Taylor, D.J. Malone and a Great grandson Ronny Freeland.
She is survived by her husband David C. Malone, Sr, of Start, LA; Daughter Patrece Taylor of Rayville, LA; three sons; David C. Malone, Jr and Mary Jo of Rayville, LA, Gil Malone of Start, LA, and Reggie Malone and Tammy also of Start, LA; 6 grandchildren; Dawn Holloway, Brandon Malone, Kayley Malone, Christian Garner, Reggie Malone, Jr. and Tammy Flack; 2 great grandchildren Amber Holloway and Sean Holloway.
Pallbearers, Wendel Malone, Mickey Winn, Wesley Pace, Joel Henderson, Auby Smith and Raymond Little.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
