MAXWELL - Aileen Belle Allen, 94, formerly of Maxwell, Iowa, died January 14, 2009 at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada, Iowa.
She was born at Maxwell, Iowa on May 25, 1914, the daughter of Guy and Mabel (Enfield) Robertson. On April 6, 1937 she was united in marriage to Forest Allen. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1989. Aileen was a member of the Maxwell Christian Church and the CWF. Aileen was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, playing cards and playing the piano. She loved her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
Aileen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Dean Reynolds of Maxwell, Iowa; two granddaughters: Rhonda (David) Birchmier of Maxwell, Iowa, Lisa (Matt) Dunahoo of Nevada, Iowa; five great-grandchildren: Lance Birchmier, Kacey Birchmier, Trever Birchmier, Gunnar Dunahoo, Gage Dunahoo; one sister-in-law: Eleanor Robertson of Huxley, Iowa; and one nephew: Larry (Marcia) Robinson of Nevada, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Richard Wesley Allen; one brother: Raymond Robertson; and one sister: Inez Robinson.
Services were held Saturday, January 17th, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell, Iowa.
