Opal was born on Jan. 13, 1922, in Albion, Maine, to her parents Claude and Pearl Baker. She was a graduate of Besse High School in Albion. She retired as a receptionist in the lab from Mid-Maine Medical Center, Waterville, Maine.
She was a Gold Star Mother. She lived in Ocala, Fla., for 30 years before moving to South Carolina. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, going to the casino, her plants and collecting angels and clocks. After the death of her first husband, Willard Buker, she married Mr. Robert J. Clark on January 1, 1979 in Maine.
She leaves one daughter, Peggy Hunnewell and her husband, Jim, of Ocala; three sons, Victor Buker and his wife, Joy, of Albion, Gerald Buker and his wife, Sharon, of Belleview, Fla., and Alan Buker and his wife, Joy, of Six Mile; one brother, Wilmont Baker of Orange, Calif.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was predeceased by husband, Willard Buker; two sons, LeRoy and Sgt. Brian L. Buker; daughter, Gloria Hallee; sisters, Althea Baker and Elinor Dickey; and brothers, Randall, Glenwood, Sherwood and Reginald Baker.
