Born October 19, 1926, in Rochester, New York, she was the daughter of Paul and Jean (Crockenberg) Scottebo. She retired in 1994 from the Indiana University Foundation. She was a graduate of Nazareth Academy in Rochester, NY, and from Ryder College (Ryder University) in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1949. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Center.
She is survived by her husband, Chester "Chet" Skirvin, of Bloomington; her children, Paul Skirvin, of Columbus, Chet Skirvin (Katie), of Rochester, NY, Marc Skirvin, Rochester, NY, Dave Skirvin (Ann), of Indianapolis, Sandy Kilbury (Loyd), of Rochester, NY, Nancy Williams (Brad), of Bloomington, Sue Brase (Brian), of Indianapolis, Bob Skirvin, of Rochester, NY, and Tom Skirvin (Kathie), of Santa Barbara, CA, one brother, Paul Scottebo, of Watertown, NY; twenty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter-in-law, Barb Skirvin.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Rich Litzau officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
