Y.E. Flynt was the son of Younger Thomas Tarpley Flynt and Paralee Louvina Denton. He was the grand son of Pendleton Flynt and Elizabeth Ann Pits, and Hiram King Denton and Farby Ann Ables. He married Mamie Briscoe on 11 September 1894 in Tarrant County, Fort Worth, Texas. Children born in this marriage were Lela (born 1897) and Joseph C. (1899).
Mamie died abt 1899. Younger Edward Flynt married a second time on 22 October 1903 to Mary Askew in Hunt County, Texas. Children born in this marriage were : Roy (1904) and Carl (1908). Mary died after 1910. Y.E. married a third time in 1916 to Maggie Bell Sanders. Children born in this marriage were : Evelyn R. (1919), Ruby Lou (1921), and Mary Jean (1929). They also adpoted Jack (b 1917). Younger Edward Flynt was laid to rest in 1948 in the Rosemound Cemetery.
