GRICE FUNERAL HELD AT ANTIOCH
Funeral services for Mrs. Donnie Lee Grice, 69, member of a large Covington County family, were held from Antioch Congregational Church on Saturday, August 29, with Rev. Charles Little and Rev. Charles Harwell officiating.
Mrs. Grice, a widow of the late Charles Grice, of the Antioch Community, died in a local hospital on Wednesday, August 26, following an illness of seven weeks.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery with Foreman's in charge. Music was by the Antioch Church choir, accompanied by Mrs. Max Dye.
Survivors include a son, Jessie Grice, RFD 2, Andalusia; five daughters, Mrs. Dessie Ray Odom, RFD 2, Andalusia; Mrs. Bertha Faye Henderson, Sanford; Mrs. Olene Etheridge, Dozier, Mrs. Lavonia Mayberry and Mrs. Willie Mae Ison, both of Andalusia; 29 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; four brothers, Alvia Grice, Lucedale, Miss.; John Grice, Enterprise; Lois Grice, Bushnell, Fla., and Dewey Grice, RFD 6, Andalusia; four sisters, Mrs. Allie George, Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Francis Sasser, Montgomery; Mrs. Bessie Moore, Brookville, Fla. and Mrs. Mittie Mock, RFD 1, Dozier.
Pallbearers were Foster Rodgers, Max Rodgers, Woodrow Odom, Jay Hurst, Willis Beckworth, and Junior Canant.
