KINSEY. . .Ruby Paulk Lewis, a resident of Sketo Road, Kinsey, died early Saturday morning, January 24, 2009, in a Dothan hospital. She was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 26, 2009, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Dan Finney and Reverend Sean D. Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland.
Mrs. Lewis was a native of the Grangerburg community of Houston County. She was reared in Malone, Florida and formerly lived in Dothan before moving to Kinsey in 1969. Mrs. Lewis was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church of Headland. She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Howard Paulk, her mother, Viola Evans Paulk Henderson and step-father, Rev. Reid Henderson, a sister, Kate Williams and a step-brother, James Earl Henderson.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Albert Lester Lewis, Kinsey; a daughter, Donna Brackin and husband, Wilson Brackin, Dothan; a son, Isaac Lewis and wife, Deborah Lewis, Kinsey; two sisters, Ethel Adams, Orlando, FL.; Ruby Nell Lingo and husband, Wayne Lingo, Cottonwood; five grandchildren, Aaron Brackin, Melissa Brackin, Ike Lewis, Jr. and wife, Lori Lewis, Scott Lewis and wife, Angie Lewis and Josh Fuller; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Lewis, Ashton Lewis, Dustin Lewis and Ashlei Lewis; two great-great-grandchildren, Lottie and Cayden Lewis; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Ike Lewis, Jr., Scott Lewis, Aaron Brackin, Brandon Lewis, Rick Thomas and Randy Thomas.
