Nettie Ruth Riddle, 83, of 812 Anti och Church Road, died Thursday April 22, 1999.

Born in Simpsonville-Bethel Com

munity, she was a daughter of the late Sam Townes and Isola McHugh Hol land. She was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Bettye Smith and her husband, Buddy of Amelia Island, Fla. and Sapphire, N.C.; two sons, Douglas D. Riddle and his wife, Tommye Garrison of Piedmont and Michael L. Riddle and his wife, Regina Wynn of Mauldin; two broth ers, E. Minton Holland of Simpson ville, and Dr. Malvern C. Holland of Greenville; grandchildren, Spencer Holland Smith of Knoxville, Tenn., Stacy G. Smith of Toccoa, Ga., Sharon Smith of Atlanta, Dean Riddle of Greenville, Ted Riddle of Little Rock, Ark., Katrina Riddle and Ethan Riddle, both of Mauldin; and six great-grand children.

She was predeceased by her hus band, Fred Lewis Riddle, December 10, 1993; and a brother, Sam Townes Holland Jr. of Columbia.

Service: Sunday at 3 p.m. at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, with Pastor Van Pigate and Pastor Harry Lee Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
