OBITUARY: MEMPHIS REVILLE, THURSDAY APRIL 26, 1906
James Henry Drummond was born in Fulker(sic)county, Virginia, May 9, 1830, and departed this life at his home near Azen, Scotland county, April 23, 1906 , aged 75 years, 11 months and 14 days.
He was united in marriage to Mary R Lynch, January 29, 1852. To this union were born three sons--Willis C, H R and J. J. Drummond. Mrs. Drummond departed this life October 5,1856.
On March 21, 1859, he was unitd in marriage to Louise Nutter. To this union were born seven sons and four daughters--Mrs. Ellen Ruch, Mrs. Inda Kerr, Wilbur, Walter, Granville and Leslie Drumond and Mrs. Dora Miller--one daughter and three sons having preceded him in death.
He moved from West Virginia to Scotland County, Mo, in 1866, where he spent the remainder of his long life. He had been a member for some years of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Protestant Church.
His companion, with the above named children and a number of grandchildren, are left to mourn their loss which is Heaven's gain.
The funeral service was conducted at the Mt. Moriah church, Tuesday, at ll a.m., by Rev. E. A. Sexsmith, of Kahoka, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery by the church. Received from Nita Drummond Cragg dated 9 Jan 2002.
