Euva Mae Baize September 7, 1914 - January 16, 2009
Euva Mae Baize was born September 7, 1914 in Rogers, Arkansas to Edgar and Ada Ralston. In 1915 the Ralston's moved from Arkansas to Farmersville where Euva was raised. Euva graduated from College Of The Sequoia, Visalia College and went on to earn her degree in Business Administration. Euva married William Baize on October 10, 1944 and they had one son, Bill Baize. In 1951 Euva became the Postmaster in Farmersville. The family moved to Porterville, then Bakersfield for a short time and settled in Wasco in 1953. In 1954 Euva became the librarian at TJ Middle School retiring 1983. Euva also worked as the Local Registrar in Wasco from the 1950's to 1987 registering the local death certificates and recording immunization records. In her spare time Euva loved to crochet and cook for her family. Bill and Euva had celebrated 53 years of marriage when he passed away in 1997, after his passing Euva moved to Wofford Heights to be near her son. Euva is survived by her son, Bill and wife Paula Baize of Wofford Heights; sister, Vinitia McDowell of Kernville; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 5 nieces' and 2 nephews; and her beloved dogs. Euva passed in the arms of her family on January 16, 2009 at her home in Wofford Heights, California. In memory of Euva a graveside service will be held January 21, 2009 at Wasco Memorial Park at 2:00pm under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
