Married: Jan. 5, 1943, to Henry Garrelts in Smith Center, Kan. He died May 11, 1999 after 56 of marriage
Lived in Kearney; was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother
Activities: enjoyed crocheting doilies, bedspreads, tablecloths and afghans; lifelong member of American Legion Post 52; member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and First Lutheran Church; worked part time at the Holiday Inn Gift Shop
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Hoffman and her husband, Dennis, of Collierville, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Kay Garrelts of Lexington; brothers, Lavon Bienhoff and his wife, Eunice, of Hastings and Glen Bienhoff and his wife, Jeri, of Holdrege; grandchildren, Melinda Garrelts of Lexington, Matthew Garrelts and his wife, Rebecca, of Eddyville, Kevin Hoffman of Memphis, Tenn., and Rochelle Benson of Spotsyl-vania, Va.; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ashleigh, Kelly, Garrett and Emily; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins
