Willa Dean Martin, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at St. Louis University Hospital. Born Nov. 30, 1932 in Choctaw, Ark., daughter of the late Charlie and Nancy Anderson.
Willa worked as a receptionist for Dr. Zackwrie Parr in Poplar Bluff, Mo.. Survivors include one son, Zackwrie (Regina) Parr of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Azalee Goddard of California; and four grandchildren, Zackwrie Parr Jr., Collin Parr, Ashley and Brittany Doerr.
She was preceded in death by two husbands; one brother, Alvie Shannon and two sisters, Ava Lou Anderson and Betty Jo Davis. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23, at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. , Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
