Mrs Nancy Sherrell was born December 24, 1871. She departed this life January 13, 1948 at the age of 67 years and 20 days. She was married to Jim Sherrell in 1889 who preceded her in death on November 28, 1944. To this union were born 12 children, eight boys and four girls,

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Baptist Church. She lived a beautiful Christian life until death. She leaves behind to mourn her going, 12 children, 70 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She also leaves a sister, Mandy Blankenship of Forty-Four and two brothers, Jim Blankenship, Union, Ark., and Euing Blankenship, Stillwell, Okla. Services were conducted by Rev. Hugh Cooper at the Baptist Church at Melbourne, Saturday Jan 17. Burial was in Knob Creek Cemetery under direction of Roller Funeral Service.
