M. Genevieve Miller

M. Genevieve Anderson Miller, 80, Bluffton, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday (March 2, 1990) at Meadowvale Care Center there.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Bluffton.

She was born Sept. 1, 1909 in Pierre, S.D., to William and Elizabeth Gephart Ware. Her first marriage was Sept. 29, 1929 in Richmond, Ind., to W. Dale Anderson, who died Sept. 14, 1972. Her second marriage was Jan. 3, 1976 to Estel Miller, who died Nov. 10, 1976.

Surviving are three sons; James Anderson, Craigville; Philip Anderson, San Beradino, Calif.; and Noel Anderson, Clarksville, Tenn.; two daughters; Mrs. Howard (Karen) Penrod, Independence, Mo.; and Mrs. Ralph (Kay) Beals, Bluffton; two brothers; Warren Ware, Warren; and Faye Ware, Fairfield, Calif.; two sisters; Mrs. Mack (Opal) Bonifield, Warren; and Mrs. Mae Jensen, Santa Rosa, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton. Caling will also be conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene, Bluffton, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Preferred memorials are contributions to the First Church of the Nazarene, Bluffton.

The family moved to Indiana in 1916 and lived near Warren where the children attended the Zent school and the Warren Junior and High Schools.

Preceding Genevieve in death were: daughter Carol (Anderson) Mounsey; three brothers, Harry Ware, December 27, 1918, and Wesley Ware, December 22, 1918, both died of influenza and Noel Ware; two sisters, Mattie Ware Bloomgren and Nova Ware Harper.
