Helen D. Adler, 70, of Dawson, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, in Dawson. She was born Oct. 10, 1938, in Dallas to Grady and Ruth Miers. She retired from Navarro College and worked at Dowd's. She was a member of Eastern Star No. 1046, Dawson. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Pastor Glen Benifield officiating. Burial will follow at Dresden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hughie Libhart, John Stephenson, Blaine Nesmith, James Moore, Darren Kirby and Charlie Brown. She is survived by husband of 44 years, John Michael Adler of Dawson; children, Vickie Montoya, John R. Adler, Michael R. Adler and Rusty Adler; grandchildren, Amanda Carter, Monica McKinney, Kai Adler, Michael S. Adler, Avery Montoya, Aidelen Montoya, Logan Adler, Mason Montoya and Kylee Adler; and great-grandchildren, Cadence McKinney, Savannah Carter and Chandler Carter.
