Emma F. Cade, 87, of East Prairie, died Sept. 25, 2003, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born March 13, 1916, in New Madrid County, daughter of the late John and Ethel Woods Buttry, she lived in East Prairie most of her life. She was employed by Sells Rest Home in Matthews for many years and was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in East Prairie for more than 50 years.
In 1931, she married Bennie Franklin Cade who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1986.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill Cade, and Gene Cade; one sister, Marie Ray; five grandchildren, Mike Cade, John Cade, Joseph Cade, Sandra Cade, and Tommy Cade; and six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
Visitation was held at Shelby Funeral Home, where services were conducted with James Bolden and Berl Britt officiating.
Burial followed in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
