Mary Elwanda Baker

Mary Elwanda Baker, 82, of Lampasas, died Saturday Aug. 26, 2006 at
Cornerstone Hospital in Austin. Funeral services for Mary Elwanda Baker were
conducted on Tuesday Aug. 29 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at
Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Born June 19, 1924 in Williamson County, she
was the daughter of James Mullins and Johnnie Isbell Mullins. Mrs. Baker
married Willard A. "Sam" Baker on June 19, 1940 in Bertram. Sam
preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Baker was affiliated with Community
Church in Lampasas. Survivors include: son, Winston Baker and wife Dianne of
Lampasas; sister, Nelda Cox of Killeen; brother Joe Trendle Mullins and wife
Wilda of Lampasas; daughter-in-law, Jan Baker McLean of Lampasas; four
grandchildren, Vicki Ware, Ronnie Baker, Colton Baker, Austyn Baker, Jeremy
Toms, Shae Toms, Brice Baker and Emerson Baker. Mrs. Baker was also preceded
in death by one son, Don Baker in 1994, and by two brothers, Reed Mullins
and V.G. "Moon" Mullins. Memorials may be made to the Community
Church 219 East Third Street, Lampasas, Texas, 76550 or the American Heart
Association. Sneed Funeral Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
