Carroll I Beck, 66 died Monday night in Salem City Hospital following an eight-months illness. He was the grandfather of Mrs Floyd Heddleston of Oakmont. He was a native of Elyria and spent most of his lifetime in Salem, where he was employed by the Salem Electric Co. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Dads Club of Salem. He leaves his widow, Mrs Vernetta Beck, two daughters, Mrs Keith Roessler and Mrs John McGuire of Salem, three sons, Irwin Beck and Carroll I Beck Jr of Salem, and Edwin Beck of Newberry S C, a sister Miss Ethel Beck of Alliance and 11 grandchildren.
