Dr. Hawk received the sad news of the death of his father, at Denver, yesterday and left last night for Denver, Martin Hawk, the deceased was 84 years of age. He was a native of Ohio. In his early days he emigrated to Iowa where he raised a family of five sons and one daughter. Three of his sons served in the Union Army during the Civil war, and three are practicing physicians, one is a professor in a high school and one is on the old homestead in Iowa. His daughter resides in Denver, and it was with her that he made his home in recent years.
