Betty J. Huggins, 88, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Bridgeport.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Betty was born July 12, 1927, in Decatur to Gertie Mae (Foster) and Robert Hale Rich.
She attended the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport and enjoyed gardening, cooking,
playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles, watching Ranger baseball games and playing
Yahtzee with her sister all night. She was married to Harley Cecil Huggins Sr. for more
than 50 years before his passing.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Marty Huggins; grandson Harley
Cecil Aaron Huggins; her parents; brother Robert Lee Rich; and sisters Goldie Noyes,
Edith Milligan and Mildred Kasner.

She is survived by her son, Harley C. Huggins Jr. and wife, LaDonna, of San Marcos;
sister Virginia L. Rich of Hurst; granddaughter Misty Ellis and husband of San Marcos;
and her special friends, Charlotte Chapman, her husband Paul, their children and Sherrie
Marlett.
