Funeral rites for Willard Anderson were conducted at 2 p.m. today from Emmons-Macey Funeral Home. Interment followed in Portee Cemetery, east of Pinkstaff.

An 84-year-old retired farmer, Mr. Anderson died early Saturday, February 26, in his home on Route 3, Lawrenceville.

Born Nov. 27, 1898, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Elihu and Louisa (Tann) Anderson. Dec. 23, 1924, he was married Fannie N. Casey, who survives him.

Also surviving are three sons, Victor Anderson, Harry Anderson, and Carl Anderson, all of Route 3 Lawrenceville; three daughters, Anna Joiner and Virginia Hardiman, both of Route 3 Lawrenceville; one sister, Edith Martin of Chicago; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
