Richard was the youngest son of Armond Henry Wheeler & Beulah Mae Neff. He was Diagnoised with lung cancer at the age of nine yeards old. Our family moved from New York so we could be closer to the Philadilphia Childrens Hospital where he was getting treatments. His mother was always with him at the hospital. He was loved so much by us all.We went to school together and played together. He loved his family and tried to protect us youger kids. No matter how sick he was he still loved life. He lost his battle with cancer at the young age of twelve on his sister Betty's 14th birthday. It was a sad day for our whole family. His mother went to join him the following month.
