Phoebe Ann Rackley Tidwell was the wife of Vincent Tidwell and the daughter of Silas Rackley and his first wife, Dinah Manning/Monnen/Mohan.

Phoebe and Vincent Tidwell were married 10 Jan 1817 in Giles Co., TN. They were the parents of twelve children. A biography of their son, Darling M. Tidwell, relates that eight of these children lived to adulthood and that six of them served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.

Phoebe's husband, Vincent Tidwell, who died in Lawrence Co., TN in 1873, is acknowledged on her tombstone. His burial place has yet to be found.
