Obituary from Spartanburg Herald. Mrs. Effie White - Chesnee, March 21 0 Mrs. Effie Johnson White, 52 of Chesnee, Route 1, died to day at her home at 5:30 a.m. She is survived by her husband, Andy J. White, two daughters, Louise and Sarah White: two step daughters, Mrs. Mahee Mathis of Spartanburg and Mrs. Tiney Hall of Chesnee: and two sisters, Mrs. Eva McSwain and Mrs. Susie Robbins of Chesnee. Funeral services will be held at Providence Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. J.P. Parton, pastor, assisted by the Rev. H.A. McCutchins, the Rev. W.R. Padgett and the Rev. R.E. Turner. Active pallbearers will be the following nephews: Jim Robbins, Jack Robbins, George Robbins, Henry Robbins, Willie Johnson and Charles White. Flowerbearers will be Maude Wilson, Ester Turner, Flora Sanders, Nina Mae Gilbert, Mary Nodine, Jeraldine Robbins and Edna Padgett. Interment will be in the church yard. Arrangements are in charge of the Blackwell Funeral home.
