Services for Elizabeth "Betty" Partridge Campbell Seagler, 88, of Palestine, Texas will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Philips Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sam Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Mrs. Seagler died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Herman Hospital in Houston. She was born July 28, 1920 in Horwich, England to Harry and Dora Pickstock Partridge. Mrs. Seagler was educated at an all girls school in England and continued her education at Nixon Business College in Palestine where she was an instructor for four years. She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. She was also a member and past president of the Friendship Horticulture Club, St. Mary's Guild and the Palestine Newcomers Club. She worked for 11 years as office manager for Paul Elliott Builders. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Cecil Allen Campbell and their seven year old son, Anthony Allen "Tony" Campbell, in 1952; sisters, Violet Tench, Lilian Markland and Kathleen Crossen; and niece, Freda Johnston. Mrs. Seagler is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles A. "Chuck" Seagler; beloved foster daughter, Debra Calhoun; nieces, Sybil Templeton, Christine Durr, Sandra and Dwain Seagler, and Pauline Crank; and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends who were very dear to her. Pallbearers will be Frank Polasek, William Durr, Dwain Seagler, Terry Seagler, Chris Seagler and Jaye Keith Curtis.
