Private services were held for Margaret Ansley Tripp of Eugene, who died April 29 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was 85.

Tripp was born June 30, 1915, in Brownsboro, Texas, to Edward and Agnes Cole Ansley. She married Vivian Tripp in Inglewood, Calif., in 1943. He died Feb. 7, 1967.

She also lived in Springfield. She earned a master's degree in education from the University of Oregon. She taught sixth grade
and she worked as a librarian at Hamlin Middle School in Springfield. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was a member of Ebbert Memorial United Methodist Church in Springfield, the Retired Teachers Association, the Business and
Professional Women's Club and Delta Kappa Gamma.

Survivors include a son, James Caddell of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Sharon Hawkins of Victoria, Australia; two sisters, Flo Hill of Austin, Texas, and Ed Thompson of Victoria, Va.; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Springfield. Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cascade/Coast Chapter of the Alzheimer's
Association.
