BLOOD, Marion I.
passed away on December 24, 2005 at Evergreen House in North Vancouver, B.C., where she had been hospitalized since July 2004 after suffering a stroke and heart attack. Born in Spokane, WA on February 14, 1921. Attended Mead High School graduating in 1938. Other ventures were the U.S. Marine Corp stationed in Santa Ana, CA. and
Norman, Oklahoma. Owner of The Cozy Inn Cafe near Whitworth College in the 50's then worked for the Spokesman-Review prior to moving to Canada in 1959. There she worked for the Province and Schlage Lock during the 60's. Was Owner of Roma's Dress Shop on Marine Dr. 1970-81. The summer of 1982-84 worked as a cooks assistant at Big Springs Fishing Resort,
River's Inlet, and Bowie Fashion at Park Royal after she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and Fritz Blood, sister Clarabelle Holcomb and brother Jerry Blood. Marion is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Lee Dyck of Loon Lake, WA; brother and sister-in-law, George and Shirley Blood of University Place, WA; sister-in-law, Betty Blood of San Jose, CA, and Donna Blood Robinson of Spokane, WA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her friends and Canadian families the Eakins and Simpsons.
Marion loved people and life, therefore, we will have a ''Celebration of Life'' both in Canada and Spokane at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, American or Canadian Heart
Associations in her name.
