He was born Sept. 11, 1939 in Altoona, PA to Gladys (Akers) and Richard K. Halbritter. His mother survives.

He married Mary Kline Matthews and is survived by children Nichole, Melissa, Richard K. Halbritter; and step-daughters Jennifer Matthews Hudson and Melinda McEldowney; and two grandchildren. He is survived by brothers Robert and Barry.

Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, PA
