SAMUEL LEE ROBBINS
Samuel Lee Robbins was born near Glasgow, MO., October 4, 1863, died July 1st, 1915, at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. A. Knight, his age at the time of his death being 51 years, 8 months and 27 days.
Samuel Lee Robbins was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Robbins, and his younger days were spent near Salisbury, where he worked as a mechanic.
September 27, 1888 he was married to Miss Ather Williams, and to this union two children were born. Frada Pearl, now Mrs. G. J. Parrish, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Myrtle Dove, who died June 1, 1912.
December 18, 1901 he was married to Miss Lottie Bell Sumptor and to this union were born four children, Melvin, of Armstrong, MO., Ruby Lillian, of Breckenridge, MO., Wilbur Rufus, of Brunswick and Mary Lee who was burned to death in November, 1911. Besides his aged mother, Mrs. Mary E. Robbins, he leaves six sisters, Mrs. Fannie Drinkard, Armstrong, Mo.; Mrs. Susie Lester, Brunswick, MO.; Mrs. Sallie Barnett, Breckenridge, Mo.; Mrs. Alice Clark, Triplett, MO.; Mrs. Tavie Knight, Brunswick, MO., and Mrs. Addie Harmon, Sacramento, Calif.; one half sister, Mrs. Annie Pixley of Texas; one brother, F. M. Robbins, of Forest Green, MO.; four half brothers, Wm. Thornton Wood, Labelle, MO.; Henry L. Wood, Jamesport, MO.; Wm. Wood, _________, and Johnnie Robbins of Kansas _______; _______ Robbins, of Oklahoma.
Mr. Robbins became a member of the Christian Church when about 18 years of age and remained in that relation till death. Funeral services were conducted at the Knight residence by Rev. C. A. Bowles, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock and interment was in Elliott Grove cemetery.
