Funeral Services for George Bauerly, 84, father of Mrs. John A. Peck of Hawarden who died at Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars on Friday were held at the Luken Funeral Home there Sunday afternoon. Rev. Floyd Sartwell of Westmar College offiated with burial in the Le Mars Cemetery.
Mr. Bauerly was born March 23, 1876 at Le Mars where he later married Mary Roberts, April 1, 1894. She preceded him in death in 1934. He was also preceeded in death by a daughter and two step-sons.
For many years, Mr. Bauerly was employed at the Atwood Florist shop in Le Mars.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Peck of Hawarden, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Sonoita, Ariz, Mrs. Albert Singer of Le Mars, and Mrs. Jess Morey of Sargent Bluff, Iowa; a step-daughter, Mrs. Clifford Flickinger of Berkeley, California; two sons, Arthur of Bell Gardens, California and Dewayne of Chadwick, Illinois. A step-son, Mark McPerry of Colvina, California, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Spaid of Le Mars; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
