b. 1853 in Miami, Indiana. The 10th child of John Bare & Catherine Hettinger.
The family moved to Ovid, Michigan around 1854. Franklin grew up in Ovid and stayed there until his father passed away in 1871.
m. Annie Edwards Davies, 28 Nov 1882 and lived in Butte Montana, where he had 3 Children (Walter Bare, 1884-1886; Mason Sidney Bare , 1887-1918; & Edna Bare, 1889-1948). The family moved to Los Angeles, CA about 1891 where Annie and Frank had 2 more children (Emma Bare (Morris), 1894-1950; & Howard John Bare Sr., 1896-1963). Frank ran off to FL in his early 70's with a mistress named Lula Tuckoth. Franklin died in Panama City Beach, FL in 1942.
