She was a child of kindly sweet disposition, obedient, gentle and loving; always cheerful, always hopeful. She was indeed a source of strength and comfort to her mother and father.
Death in his own time has claimed her for his own. But above the dark cloud of grief and sorrow may be seen the bow of God's promise as he speaks of hope, cheer and comfort to the stricken father and mother in these words: "I doeth all things well, and in mansions celestial I await with your darling child, your own coming."
God gave this girl to you parents a blessing. He takes her into his own keeping that your lives may be enriched. Your child is not dead. She lives --- lives the life that knows no end. Keep your faith in God that in life eternal you may dwell with your child forever.
Little Ruth leaves to mourn her early departure a mother, father, two little brothers, an aged grandmother, beside many near and dear relatives. A whole community of friends extend to the bereaved ones the deepest of sympathy in this hour of sorrow and grief.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church in Belle Plaine. The sermon was preached by Rev. J.W. Crouch, pastor. Interment was made in the Belle Plaine cemetery.
