Outlived His Wife Just One Year to a
Day--Came to Kansas City at
the Close of the War.

Judge F. R. Allen, a pioneer of Kansas City, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Ward, 2510 East Tenth street, yesterday, after several weeks' illness. He was 72 years old, and came to Kansas City from Ohio a the close of the war. He was a charter member of Kansas City lodge No. 1, Knights of Pythias. The funeral services will be held from the Olive Street Baptist church to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Soon after coming to the city he was elected judge of the county court, serving four years. When the Ninth street cable line was first started he was made the cashier of the company. He was for many years superintendent of Troost park, and for the past few years he has been the transfer man at the turnstile of the Ninth street line at the union depot.

Judge F. R. Allen, who was for many years superintendent of Troost park, died at his home, 2510 East Tenth street yesterday morning. Death resulted from heart trouble. Judge Allen was at one time a judge of the Jackson County court. He was a member of Kansas City Lodge No. 1, K. of P. The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Olive street Baptist church.

FUNERAL OF JUDGE ALLEN.
The funeral of Judge F. R. Allen, who died last Friday, will be held at the Olive street Baptist church at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
The services will be under the auspices of the Kansas City Lodge No. 1, Knights of Pythias. The pall-bearers will be George E. Runyon, William Clough, W. H. Rogers, John Conlon, A. L. Osgood and Charles Raber. The honorary pall-bearers will be R. H. Mayberry, M. D. Woods, H. H. Allen, Major B. L. Woodson, Prof. J. F. Spalding, J. P. Dukes, J. H. Hawthorne, J. A. Reed, C. W. Campbell, David Kendall, W. J. Smith and E. F. Rogers.

The funeral of Judge F. R. Allen will be held from the Olive street Baptist church at 2 o'clock this afternoon, under the auspices of Kansas City Lodge No. 1, Knights of Pythias. Judge Allen was a past grand chancellor of the order. The remains will be laid to rest in Union cemetery. The pall bearers will be George E. Runyon, W. H. Rogers, William Clough, John Conlon, Charles Raber and A. L. Osgood, all of whom are past chancellors of the order.
