Ruth Beach Waggoner, 85, of Cottage Avenue died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Waggoner was born in Carthage, Mo., Sept. 1, 1923, the daughter of the late Carl Ernest and Edna Jane DeArmand Lamey.
She retired from Arvin Industries where she was the second shift first aid attendant. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Dan D. Houze officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mrs. Waggoner is survived by two sons, Jack (Susan) Clayton of Bel Air, Md., and Butch (Mary Jane) Beach of North Vernon; two daughters, Jeanie Gravins of Columbus and Debra Beach of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Crystal Burris of Portland, Ore., Garnet (Sherr) McMillian of Greenwood, Angel (Denny) Beach of North Vernon, Camille (Scott) Beach of Columbus, Tammy Love of Elizabethtown, Dale-Ann (Scott) Adams of Columbus and Mandy (Tom) Nieto of Bel Air, Md.; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jack Clayton; her second husband, Gerald Beach; her third husband, Stephen Waggoner; a daughter, Dody Denny; a brother, Carl Lamey Jr.; and a sister, Joan Nesbitt.
