Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, at the Porter Funeral Home,1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS where the visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Burial in the National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Mathilda was born January 7, 1924, in Clarksville, TX and grew up in Mena, Arkansas. She had lived in Gainesville, Florida and Kansas City before moving to Topeka in 1974. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Topeka and a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 1996 and two sons, Kenneth and Martin. Survivors include a son and his wife, Ernest and DeDe Burger, Eskridge, KS, a daughter and her husband, Claire and Jerry Marengo, Clear Lake, CA, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
